ABS has established a class called “Civic Engagement Project” from the academic year 2023, in which MBA students who are working adults are expected to grasp social issues, plan community activities to solve them, and put them into practice as leaders. In other words, working MBA students are becoming “social activists.

We have planned this presentation in order to present the learning outcomes of the students who are practicing the activities they learned in the class of 2024, to introduce their learning and the process of planning and practicing their learning to many people, and to share citizenship with them. We hope many people will attend.

■ Main learning contents in the “Civic Engagement Project” class
(1) Citizenship (awareness and actions as citizens), (2) Civic skills (recognition of social issues and actions to solve them), (3) Social entrepreneurship, (4) Community leadership (involvement and promotion), etc.

■ Presentations by student groups in FY2024 (in no particular order)
- Creation of urban natural environment (creation of Turtle Island River Terrace)
- Retreats for urban workers (utilization of idle resources in rural areas)
- Promoting children's understanding of work and nurturing their future (Job Education Game)
- Supporting entrepreneurship (self-employment) according to women's lifestyles
- Enrichment of neighborhood communities through athlete social activities (Shibuya City FC and Sasazuka Jugo Shopping Street)
