「Strategy, Organization and Leadership from a European Perspective」
Christian Frankel is associate professor at Department of Organization (IOA), Copenhagen Business School, Denmark and holds graduate degrees in public administration, science, technology and society, and Ph.D in business economics. His research focuses on markets, politics, and organizations from organization theory and sociology as regards new forms in areas such as technical standardization, European integration, and markets. He has published in journals including Journal of European Public Policy, European Societies, Journal of Cultural Economy and Business & Society. He has organized a number of conferences and seminars within social studies of markets as a central figure in CBS’ Cluster on Markets and Valuations (CMV). He is currently co-managing a EU COST project on the sharing economy and heads an international network on ‘The Ethnography of Markets after Market Design’.
Martin Kornberger received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Vienna in 2002. Prior to joining EM Lyon, he worked at the University of Technology Sydney as associate professor in design and management, and as research director of the Australian Creative Industry Innovation Centre; and at Copenhagen Business School as professor for strategy and organization. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School and a research fellow at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. His research focuses on collective action and strategy in non-command and control settings, with the aim to stretch the imagination of practitioners and scholars. In a previous life, he co-founded the Sydney-based branding agency PLAY which has delivered brand strategies and experiences for clients including PricewaterhouseCoopers, ISS, MINI, Adobe, GlaxoSmithKline, Kellog’s, Subaru, Jaguar, The Sydney Opera House and others.
